WELCOME TO MY PORTFOLIO

Check out some of my favorite stories and projects I've worked on over the years.

Unlevel Playing Fields

"Unlevel Playing Fields" is an investigative journalism project by the University of Maryland's Shirley Povich Center and Howard Center for Investigative Journalism. Myself, my peers, and UMD faculty investigated Title IX's violations in high school sports across the United States. I produced an investigative piece about a Title IX violation in Claremont High School in California.

The boys' baseball team played on campus with a scoreboard, dugouts, bleachers, and a clubhouse with a locker room, while the girls' softball team played in an unmanaged city park almost a mile away from the school.  The project won major awards for its deep dive into gender equity issues, including one from The Associated Press.

Monumental Magazine
Print & Digital Editions

In college, I helped start the University of Maryland's first fashion magazine. I served as both Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director. Some of my favorite college memories include meeting insanely talented people who contributed to the magazine's success.
created digital issues that showcased student designers, writers, photographers, and creators. During my time with Monumental, I managed a team of 25 student writers, photographers, and graphic designers, who collaborated to create three digital and print editions of the publication.
