WELCOME TO MY PORTFOLIO
Email Marketing
I craft compelling email campaigns that drive engagement and conversions, having written countless marketing emails for Founding Farmers Restaurant Group's diverse portfolio of restaurants, a distillery, and a catering company. My approach combines persuasive copywriting with strategic messaging that resonates with target audiences while maintaining a consistent brand voice. I understand the nuances of email marketing, from subject lines that get opens to calls-to-action that inspire clicks.

Blogging
I specialize in creating SEO-optimized blog content that ranks well and engages readers. I've produced both long-form feature stories and strategic brand content. At Founding Farmers Restaurant Group, I wrote SEO-focused blogs that drove organic traffic. At The List, I researched pop culture and beauty trends and wrote multiple features weekly tailored to specific audiences. My blogging approach balances search optimization with storytelling, ensuring the content performs well in search engines and connects with readers.

Press Releases & News Briefs
As a former journalist with experience working at a newspaper, I understand exactly what makes a story compelling to media outlets. I've also produced news briefs and long-form stories covering city events, interviewed diverse subjects, and managed small editorial teams.

Telling Stories
As former Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director of Monumental Magazine, I led the vision for an entire lifestyle publication, while my marketing work has involved bringing products, websites, and brand values to life through compelling narratives. I excel at finding the human angle in any story and creating content that connects emotionally with audiences across digital and print platforms.

Highlighted Projects
Throughout my career, I've taken on projects that challenge me to think strategically, conduct in-depth research, and tell stories that matter. Here are three projects that showcase my passion for meaningful storytelling.
Monumental Magazine
In college, I helped launch the University of Maryland's first fashion magazine, serving as both Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director. Some of my favorite college memories include meeting incredibly talented people who contributed to the magazine's success. I wore every hat imaginable: managing social media accounts, overseeing monthly content calendars, leading writing workshops and photoshoots, organizing fundraisers, and running team meetings that kept our staff of writers, photographers, and designers aligned. Successfully producing three digital and print editions of the magazine taught me how to build a brand, foster a creative team culture, and turn an idea into a tangible product that resonated with students across campus.

Unlevel Playing Fields
"Unlevel Playing Fields" is an investigative journalism project by the University of Maryland's Shirley Povich Center and Howard Center for Investigative Journalism. My peers, UMD faculty, and I investigated Title IX's violations in high school sports across the United States. I produced an investigative piece about a Title IX violation at Claremont High School in California. The boys' baseball team played on campus with a scoreboard, dugouts, bleachers, and a clubhouse with a locker room, while the girls' softball team played in an unmanaged city park almost a mile away from the school.
The project won major awards for its deep dive into gender equity issues, including one from The Associated Press.

2023 District Sustainability Award
I helped Founding Farmers Restaurant Group win the 2023 District Sustainability Award by drafting a comprehensive proposal that showcased the company's holistic approach to sustainability. I researched and organized complex information about environmental initiatives—from LEED certifications to waste diversion rates—while also highlighting social impact programs like donating 17,000+ meals to underserved DC communities and providing free mental healthcare to all employees and their families. My proposal demonstrated how the company's environmental and social justice efforts are interconnected, which resonated with the DC Department of Energy & Environment's vision for building a truly sustainable city. This award win validated my ability to craft persuasive, well-researched proposals that effectively communicate a company's values and achievements to external stakeholders.
